So, we're safely back in Singapore and I'm ready to tackle the day, at least until 6 or 7 tonight. :-)
But on the plane early this morning, I started thinking about coming "home". I'm not quite sure that I have a home-home at the moment, but staying in Singapore with my in-laws makes a pretty good proxy home for the time being. So, as we came in to land this morning and I watched the lights on the ships dance in the water as the sun began its creep over the horizon, I breathed a little sigh, "Ah...home."

What do I miss about home (wherever it may be) while I'm away? My top 3 list looks something like this:
3. Breakfast. American breakfast, in any of its forms. Discussed at length here.
2. My running buddies. Tuesday nights, Wednesday nights, Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings... Fleet Feet, Salomon team, RFP, No Boundaries, you ladies who I only began sharing miles with this fall... I miss you ALL.
1. Routine. After 2 weeks in Singapore, we had something of a routine established. Gosh, do I love a schedule and plan, even when I'm on vacation. The first thing I did most mornings? Go for a run. And now, we're back in Singapore. So what am I doing? Going running, of course!
What do YOU miss the most when you're traveling??
What I miss most when travelling: Singaporean food. Always. Although I always enjoy the local food (and often food that I miss when in Singapore, e.g. American, British, Italian, Mexican), I would always start craving for prata, kaya toast, sambal belacan or some other things that's impossible to get hold of after a few days. Peverse!
