We're back in the US of A, and have been for awhile. But there's still quite a bit we haven't shared from our trip, particularly our last 3.5 weeks in Europe. So we're working on that now, slowly but surely, and in chronological order. Believe it or not, we also have some posts left from Asia. But we're keeping things as organized as possible - so feel free to browse, and/or use our tags to help you find what you need. Whether you're planning a trip of your own, daydreaming of distant lands, or living vicariously through us - relax, enjoy, and happy reading!!

PS If you're looking for the details of our road trip across the US, you'll find them on our Tumblr.

Whoops!

So, guys and gals...it's been a few weeks, huh?

It's rather crazy how things like changing apartments, obtaining a state-appropriate driver's license and registration, launching some fitness groups, buying towels, and visiting tarpits* can fast fill all the hours in the day.

But while there's plenty going on in July, as well, I am coming back to Blogger-ville. If you recall, when I abandoned you all at the end of May, we were (in blog-time) on our way through Europe.  Our 5 days in Athens are best summarized in this post.  Then, we headed to Rome, where we explored both above and below ground.  From there, we headed for Naples (and the first MnDonald's of our trip), where I left you all halfway through our trip to Herculaneum (read the first half of the adventure here).

By the way, those are just a sampling of the posts we've written so far from Europe, so click around to explore further if you, too, are just emerging from a moving, towel-buying, tarpit-visiting stupor.

And now that we're all on the same page, I'm off to finish writing about Herculaneum.  So stick us back into your RSS feed, bookmark the page, check back often.  We are ready to roll (again)...

*Tarpits: Should you ever find yourself in Los Angeles, you MUST visit the Page Museum and La Brea Tarpits.  I can't believe I visited LA for 6+ years before taking my first trip just a few weeks ago.  The museum is casual and reasonably-sized.  Plus, there's plenty of outdoor space to walk around.  Great for kids & adults of all ages.  PLUS, you'll get a photo op with the Short-Nosed Bear:

No matter how interesting a museum is, you too would get bored and start staring into space
after sitting out front for days on end.
